New Delhi: A young woman was critically injured after allegedly jumping from the third floor of a hotel in East Delhi’s Vishwas Nagar area in the early hours of the day, prompting a swift police response and an ongoing investigation.
According to initial information, a PCR call was received around 1:00 AM regarding a woman falling from a hotel building. Police teams rushed to the spot and found that the woman had landed on cartons and boxes placed below the building, which reportedly prevented a fatal impact.
She was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment. Officials stated that her condition is being closely monitored.

Preliminary findings suggest that the woman had checked into the hotel with a male acquaintance shortly before the incident. The two had reportedly checked out, and the exact sequence of events leading to the fall remains under investigation.
Police have detained the male companion for questioning and are also examining CCTV footage, hotel records, and statements from the hotel staff and manager. Investigators are trying to ascertain whether the incident followed an argument or any other triggering circumstance.
The woman is believed to be a resident of Shahdara, while the male individual is reportedly from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. Authorities have not ruled out any angle and stated that further details will emerge after detailed questioning and medical assessment.
The incident has caused concern in the locality, with bystanders capturing visuals of the aftermath that later circulated on social media. Police have urged the public to refrain from speculation as the inquiry continues.
