New Delhi: In a swift and coordinated operation, Delhi Police have solved a sensational stabbing case involving the murder of a 17-year-old boy in the Narela Industrial Area and apprehended seven accused, including juveniles, within hours of the incident. Four knives allegedly used in the commission of the crime have been recovered.
The incident took place on the night of February 11, around 9:36 PM near Jhanda Chowk, E-Block, JJ Colony, Bawana. Police teams rushed to the scene after receiving information about a stabbing and later reached MV Hospital, Pooth Khurd, where the victim was declared “brought dead.” The medico-legal case (MLC) report confirmed multiple fatal stab injuries to the chest and other parts of the body.
According to the complaint lodged by Salim, the victim was intercepted at around 8:30 PM by a group of individuals. Police said that while some accused assaulted him with fists and kicks, others attacked him with knives. Preliminary investigation indicates that the accused and the victim were known to each other and that prior enmity may have led to the fatal assault. A case has been registered under FIR No. 68/26 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
A special team led by Inspector Manoj Kumar, SHO of PS Narela Industrial Area, was constituted under the guidance of ACP Narela Rakesh Kumar and overall supervision of DCP Outer North District Hareshwar Swami, IPS. Technical surveillance and local intelligence were deployed immediately, leading to the apprehension of the accused and recovery of four knives used in the crime.
The arrested accused include three adults and four juveniles, all residents of JJ Colony, Bawana. Police are also examining the alleged role of one Md. Farukh in connection with conspiracy and abetment.
Hareshwar Swami, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer North District, Delhi, stated:
“Delhi Police acted swiftly in this case. Within hours of the incident, our teams identified and apprehended the accused persons and recovered the weapons used in the offence. Further investigation is underway to establish the complete chain of events and identify any additional conspirators.”
Police have confirmed that further investigation is ongoing to determine the full conspiracy behind the attack.
