New Delhi: Deputy Mayor of Delhi Jai Bhagwan Yadav chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials of the Education Department at his office on Monday, focusing on the revamp of MCD school infrastructure, educational improvements, and timely recruitment of support staff.
The meeting addressed crucial issues including repair and maintenance of school buildings, distribution of textbooks and stationery, and the expedited hiring of Class IV staff to enhance operational efficiency in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) schools.
Deputy Mayor Yadav emphasized that the primary goal must be to provide quality education supported by robust infrastructure and essential facilities. “Students in MCD schools deserve the best possible learning environment. It is our responsibility to continuously upgrade the system,” he said.

He reiterated the BJP-led MCD administration’s commitment to strengthening the civic education system. “Our government is committed to delivering better infrastructure, timely resources, and qualified support staff so that every student in Delhi’s municipal schools can thrive,” he added.
The meeting also resolved to accelerate the recruitment process for Class IV employees, whose presence is essential for the smooth functioning of schools and maintaining hygiene and safety on campuses.
Concluding the session, the Deputy Mayor remarked, “Education is the foundation of our nation’s future. Providing the best for our children in MCD schools is a collective responsibility we must fulfil with urgency and dedication.”
