New Delhi: The Delhi government has granted expedited approvals to 374 registered Kanwar committees through a single-window system, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced during a high-level review meeting held at the Delhi Secretariat. Cabinet Ministers Ashish Sood and Kapil Mishra were also present.

Officials have been instructed to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to devotees, with robust arrangements for security, sanitation, traffic control, and medical services.

Each committee will receive 1,200 units of free electricity, easy meter connections, and a 75% waiver on the security deposit. Financial assistance will be disbursed in two phases — 50% in advance, and the remaining through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) after the event.
