Delhi Chief Minister Launches Six State-of-the-Art Mobile Forensics Laboratories

Date:

New Delhi: On Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated six cutting-edge mobile forensics laboratories, emphasizing that this initiative will significantly enhance the efficiency of the city’s criminal justice system through a scientific approach.

Equipped with advanced technology for on-site preliminary analysis and evidence collection, these mobile forensics vans are designed to streamline investigative processes, ensuring that crucial evidence is gathered promptly.

Delhi Home Minister Ashish Sood was also in attendance at the flag-off ceremony held at the Delhi Secretariat.

During her address, CM Gupta stated, “Our government is committed to delivering fast, transparent, and reliable services to the public by leveraging technology.” She underscored the critical role of timely investigations in criminal cases, noting, “If evidence is not collected promptly, the risk of its destruction increases, as perpetrators often attempt to eliminate traces. In such scenarios, the speed and vigilance of forensic teams become the cornerstone of justice.” She expressed her confidence that this new initiative would not only improve the efficiency of Delhi’s judicial system but also foster a greater sense of safety and trust among citizens.

Minister Sood added that the judiciary increasingly values scientific evidence, as it is grounded in concrete facts rather than subjective testimonies. He characterized the launch of the mobile forensics laboratories as a significant advancement towards ensuring transparency and impartiality in law enforcement.
