New Delhi: The Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory on Thursday in light of upcoming repair and rehabilitation work on the right carriageway of Hanuman Setu, which connects Rajghat to ISBT Kashmiri Gate. This essential work is scheduled to take place from May 23 to June 11.
According to the advisory, the Public Works Department (PWD) will oversee the repairs, and traffic flow in the surrounding areas is expected to be significantly impacted.
Key diversion points, which may be activated as needed, include Shanti Van Chowk, the turn towards Shanti Van on the Outer Ring Road near the Geeta Colony Flyover, and the area near Mangi Bridge behind the Red Fort.

The stretches likely to experience disruptions include the Ring Road (from Shanti Van to ISBT Kashmiri Gate), Outer Ring Road (from Geeta Colony Flyover to ISBT), Raja Ram Kohli Marg, Nishad Raj Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, Kela Ghat Road, and Yudhister Setu (GT Road).
For commuters traveling from Noida, Akshardham, and Sarai Kale Khan towards ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Chandgiram Akhara, or Narela, it is recommended to take alternative routes via Geeta Colony Road–Pushta Road–Shastri Park–GT Road–ISBT Kashmiri Gate or Geeta Colony Road–Pushta Road–Shastri Park–Wazirabad Road–Signature Bridge.
Commuters traveling from Shastri Park, Seelampur, and Shahdara are encouraged to utilize the following routes: the Pushta Road–Shastri Park–GT Road–ISBT Kashmiri Gate route or the Geeta Colony Road–Pushta Road–Shastri Park–Wazirabad Road–Signature Bridge route.
Additionally, the advisory recommends that travelers avoid the impacted areas when visiting key destinations such as ISBT, the Red Fort, Old Delhi Railway Station, and Tis Hazari Court. To alleviate congestion, it is advisable to opt for public transportation whenever possible.
