Thunderstorms and Rain Expected in Delhi Today

NEW DELHI: The national capital of India experienced a minimum temperature of 25.7 degrees Celsius on Friday, which is 0.6 degrees above the average for this time of year, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD has predicted thunderstorms with rain for Friday, with the maximum temperature expected to reach around 35 degrees Celsius.

At 8:30 am, the humidity level in the capital was measured at 61 percent.

Air quality in Delhi was classified as ‘moderate’, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 161 at 9 am, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The CPCB categorizes AQI levels as follows: 0-50 as ‘good’, 51-100 as ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 as ‘moderate’, 201-300 as ‘poor’, 301-400 as ‘very poor’, and 401-500 as ‘severe’.
