NEW DELHI: In response to the recent tensions between India and Pakistan, Delhi airport has implemented enhanced security measures, leading to some flight disruptions. However, Delhi Airport officials have confirmed that operations are running smoothly despite these changes.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has heightened security protocols at the airport, causing some flights to be impacted by changing airspace conditions. In a statement released by Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), they reassured passengers that operations are normal and advised travelers to stay updated by contacting their respective airlines for the latest information.

“We urge everyone to rely on official sources for accurate updates and to refrain from sharing unverified information,” said DIAL. “Our team is working closely with all stakeholders to minimize any inconvenience caused by the security measures.”

On Thursday, approximately 90 flights to and from Delhi airport were cancelled due to the security measures. Despite these disruptions, DIAL continues to manage the Indira Gandhi International Airport efficiently.
