Delhi | Three Arrested in Uttam Nagar While Dividing Loot from House Theft

Date:

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have apprehended three individuals from their hideout in Uttam Nagar while they were dividing stolen goods from a house theft, officials reported on Monday. The accused have been identified as Arjun, also known as Toto (23), Chaman, also known as Shooter (22), and Sameer (21).

On February 17, Rajpal, a showroom helper in Janakpuri, reported that his home had been burglarized. He claimed that gold and silver jewelry, along with an LED TV, were stolen, according to a police officer.

After reviewing CCTV footage from the scene, which showed three burglars carrying stolen goods, a clear image of one of the suspects was obtained and shared with informants. This led to the identification of Sameer, the officer added.

A police team conducted a raid at a residence in Uttam Nagar, where the three accused were apprehended while dividing the stolen items.

During questioning, the accused disclosed that they all resided in the same neighborhood and had dropped out of school before completing the eighth grade. They turned to crime for quick money. Arjun has prior cases of robbery and possession of illegal arms registered against him at the Uttam Nagar police station, the officer further stated.
