Earlier in the day, the Delhi High Court took immediate action by withdrawing judicial responsibilities from Justice Yashwant Varma.

Justice Varma vehemently denied the allegations related to the cash-discovery incident, stating that no cash had ever been placed in the storeroom of his residence by either himself or any of his family members.

Responding to the Chief Justice of the high court, Justice Varma expressed his belief that the allegations of cash discovery at his residence were part of a conspiracy to frame and tarnish his reputation.
