New Delhi: Delhi Police has increased education benefits for the children of its personnel from the 2025–26 academic year. The revised Education Fund offers full reimbursement of higher education fees for children of personnel who died in the line of duty and raises scholarships for higher education, diploma and professional courses by ₹5,000.
Delhi Police said the enhanced benefits cover families of multi-tasking staff, constables through inspectors, and officers promoted to assistant commissioner of police. The department announced the changes under Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar.

The fund will give a one-time award of ₹5,000 to children scoring above 90% in Class 10 or 12. Those placing in the top 1,000 in IIT-JEE or NEET will receive ₹50,000 and a certificate.
The revised rules also give students greater flexibility to change professional or trade courses. Delhi Police said it would widen the contribution base to strengthen the fund.
