New Delhi: In a shocking crime that has left the capital stunned, Delhi Police have arrested a man for allegedly raping his 65-year-old mother in Hauz Khas. The accused was taken into custody after the elderly woman filed a complaint, revealing a disturbing pattern of abuse that has shaken the community.

According to investigators, the accused repeatedly accused his mother of having extramarital affairs decades ago, claiming he was seeking “revenge” for her past. The woman, who had recently returned from a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia on August 1 with her husband and younger daughter, said her son began harassing her soon after their return.

On August 11, the accused allegedly locked her in a room, forced her to remove her burqa, assaulted her, and then raped her, reportedly telling her that she was being “punished for her past behavior.” Three days later, on August 14, he allegedly attacked her again while she was asleep.
