CCTV Leads East Delhi Police to Three Arrests in Separate Snatching and Theft Cases

New Delhi: East Delhi police reported three arrests in separate snatching and vehicle-theft investigations in New Ashok Nagar and Mandawali, with CCTV analysis featuring in both operations.

New Ashok Nagar police arrested two accused after analysing more than 100 CCTV recordings and carrying out technical investigation. Police said two stolen motorcycles and five mobile phones were recovered, and 14 snatching and vehicle-theft cases were worked out.

In a separate case, Mandawali police arrested a 22-year-old accused in connection with the snatching of a gold chain. Police said CCTV analysis, technical surveillance and information from an informer helped trace him.

The snatched chain and a stolen TVS Apache motorcycle allegedly used in the offence were recovered, according to police. Efforts to apprehend an absconding co-accused were continuing.
