Roads affected

Depending on traffic conditions and operational requirements, vehicles may be regulated or diverted on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg, Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Ring Road), IP Marg and Vikas Marg.

No traffic will be permitted on Secretariat Road and Velodrome Road from 6 am onwards, according to operational requirements, the advisory states.

The affected stretches include Shanti Van Crossing–Rajghat–Bhairon Marg; the roads under Geeta Colony Flyover, IP Flyover and Salimgarh Bypass; W-Point–Delhi Gate; Delhi Gate–Rajghat on JLN Marg; Rajghat–Kisan Ghat/Power House Road; and ITO–Yamuna Bridge via IP Marg and Vikas Marg. The notice specifies both carriageways where applicable.

Plan extra travel time

Police advised commuters to avoid BSZ Marg, IP Marg, Vikas Marg, JLN Marg, Ring Road and Salimgarh Bypass wherever possible between 5 am and 1 pm on October 7.

Parking will not be permitted on affected roads and stretches. Vehicles parked there may be towed and action taken under the law. Commuters should allow extra travel time, follow diversion signs and cooperate with personnel.

For assistance, traffic police listed helplines 1095 and 011-25844444, and WhatsApp number 8750871493.
