New Delhi: Delhi’s Public Works Department has identified 47 pollution hotspots and prepared an action plan focused on stopping dust before it spreads, minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said on October 6.
The plan also envisages 200 anti-smog guns. A PWD announcement quoted by the minister said action would extend up to a three-kilometre radius around the identified hotspots.
Dust prevention at the centre of the plan
Singh said the department’s approach placed special emphasis on preventing dust from dispersing, alongside measures to strengthen pollution control.
The PWD post identified the hotspots, the three-kilometre action radius and the anti-smog-gun plan as elements of its clean-air programme. The minister described clean air as a right of every Delhi resident.
