Delhi Prepares to Launch Talent Hunt Scheme to Foster Emerging Artists

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government is preparing to launch a ‘Talent Hunt Scheme’ to support and promote emerging artists in the national capital. This initiative aims to provide a platform for budding artists to showcase their talents, receive expert guidance, and work towards gaining international recognition.

During a meeting chaired by Art, Culture, and Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra, the framework of the scheme was discussed. The scheme, which was first announced by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during the presentation of the 2025-26 Budget, will focus on identifying and nurturing talent in various art forms such as music, dance, folk art, classical performance, instrumental music, and photography.

According to a statement released after the meeting, the Talent Hunt Scheme will not only help artists improve their skills but also assist them in reaching global audiences. Mishra emphasized that this initiative is a significant step towards establishing Delhi as a global hub of creativity.

The scheme aims to provide the right environment, guidance, and exposure to artists under the leadership of CM Gupta. It is designed to be inclusive, welcoming participants from all communities and backgrounds to reflect the cultural diversity of the city.

In addition to providing a platform for artists, the scheme will also include workshops, competitions, and mentorship programs to equip participants with the resources and networks necessary to advance their artistic careers. Mishra highlighted that this initiative is a tribute to Delhi’s rich cultural heritage and a step towards honoring the city’s creative spirit.
