New Delhi: The Delhi government’s Planning Department has signed a memorandum of understanding with the EkStep Foundation to collaborate on administrative data and develop systems supporting smart, connected and citizen-centric governance.

The agreement was signed during a high-level workshop on “AI-Ready Governance”, according to a statement posted by the Delhi government on X.

“The Planning Department and EkStep Foundation signed an MoU for collaboration in the field of administrative data,” the government said.

A “Data Dhara” toolkit and vision paper were also launched as part of the initiative. The government said these resources would help organise administrative data and make it more reliable and suitable for artificial intelligence-based applications.

According to the government, the partnership is expected to support improved identification of eligible scheme beneficiaries, easier access to public services and data-based decision-making.

The government did not immediately disclose the duration of the agreement, its financial implications or a timeline for implementing the proposed data systems.
