Blood, Bravery & Duty: Two Delhi Cops Promoted After Risking Lives to Nab Criminal

New Delhi: In a significant recognition of extraordinary courage, Delhi Police has granted Out-of-Turn Promotion to Head Constable Kuldeep and Constable Neeraj of Outer North District for displaying exceptional bravery while apprehending an armed habitual offender.

The two personnel, posted at Police Station Shahbad Dairy, confronted and overpowered the accused after a violent scuffle during which both officers sustained stab injuries in the line of duty. Despite being injured, they ensured the suspect was successfully apprehended, prioritising public safety over personal risk.

Delhi Police has also recommended Gallantry Awards for both officers in recognition of their devotion to duty and exemplary courage.

Commissioner of Police Satish Golchha, IPS, commended the officers for their fearless action and unwavering commitment to law enforcement. Senior district officers, including DCP Outer North Swami Hareshwar Vishwanathappa, praised the personnel for setting a benchmark in professional bravery.

Delhi Police reiterated that acts of exceptional courage and dedication to public safety will continue to be recognised and rewarded, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining law and order across the national capital.
