New Delhi, July 10: Two warehouse fires broke out within minutes of each other in separate lanes of a Delhi locality shortly after midnight, prompting a swift response from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS). Fire officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in either incident and both fires have been brought under control.
According to Delhi Fire Service Station Officer (STO) Praveen Kumar, the first call regarding a warehouse fire was received at 12:50 AM from Gali No. 10.
“Fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot and firefighting operations were launched,” he said.
While firefighters were battling the first blaze, the control room received another call reporting a fire in a warehouse located in Gali No. 14, close to the first incident.
DFS immediately deployed STO Giriraj along with two water bowsers to the second location, where the team successfully extinguished the fire.
“There have been no injuries in either incident. Both fires have been brought under control and cooling operations are currently underway,” STO Praveen Kumar said.
Fire officials have not yet disclosed the cause of the fires. Authorities are expected to examine the affected warehouses after cooling operations are completed to determine how the incidents occurred.
The Delhi Fire Service said further investigation into both fires is underway.
