Habitual Snatcher Arrested in Delhi’s Bindapur; Police Claim Eight Snatching and Theft Cases Solved

New Delhi: Delhi Police have apprehended an alleged habitual snatcher in the Bindapur area and claimed that the arrest helped solve eight cases of snatching and theft.

The Dwarka District Police announced the operation through a post on its official X account. “One arrest. Eight cases cracked,” police stated in the post while describing the action against street crime.

According to police, personnel from Bindapur police station apprehended the accused and recovered an allegedly illegal button-actuated knife from his possession.

Four mobile phones, a stolen motorcycle and a stolen scooter were also recovered, police said. Investigators subsequently linked the accused to eight snatching and theft cases, according to the X post.

Police did not disclose the accused’s identity, the dates and locations of the eight alleged offences or the police stations where the cases were registered.

The post was accompanied by a photograph of the recovered articles.
