Delhi Police Attaches Properties Worth Over ₹5 Crore of History-Sheeter Under Legal Provisions

Date:

New Delhi: In a major action against organized crime, the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of North-West District Police has attached properties worth over ₹5 crore belonging to a history-sheeter and his wife, which were allegedly acquired through criminal activities.

The police carried out the attachment of properties under Section 107 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), as part of efforts to curb illegal wealth accumulation by habitual offenders.

According to officials, the accused and his associates failed to provide legitimate sources of income for the assets. Based on the police request, a competent court passed orders to freeze and attach the properties.

Police stated that this action is a significant step towards directly targeting the illegal earnings of criminals and dismantling their financial networks, reinforcing Delhi Police’s commitment to tackling organized crime.
