New Delhi: Delhi Police’s Outer North District AATS has apprehended Joginder alias Chachi, 25, who had been declared a proclaimed offender in a 2018 case registered at Mangol Puri police station, police said.
Police said technical surveillance and field verification helped the team trace Joginder, a resident of Mangol Puri, who had been evading arrest after the court’s declaration.
The case was registered under Sections 324 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code. Police said Joginder had two previous involvements; the statement did not give details of those cases.
The operation was carried out by ASI Sandeep and Head Constable Abhishek Khatri of the proclaimed-offender staff of AATS, Outer North District.
Inspector Anand Kumar Jha, in charge of AATS, led the operation under the supervision of ACP (Operations) Dinesh Kumar and the guidance of Additional DCP-I Lokeshwaran R. Police said the action followed directions from Joint Commissioner of Police, Northern Range, Vijay Singh.
The police team combined technical inputs with ground-level information to locate the accused, according to the district police statement.
