Delhi LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu Orders Swift Action in Brigadier Assault Case, Assures Security to Family

New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has expressed deep concern over the recent assault incident in Vasant Enclave involving a serving Brigadier of the Indian Army, his wife, and their son, a 23-year-old IIT Delhi graduate.

Taking serious note of the matter, the LG said he has personally spoken to Brigadier P.S. Arora to enquire about the incident and the well-being of his family.

He further stated that he has also spoken to the Police Commissioner and the concerned DCP, directing them to conduct a thorough and swift investigation and ensure immediate and appropriate action against those responsible.

The Lieutenant Governor has also directed Delhi Police to provide full security cover to the officer and his family in view of the incident.

Reiterating the administration’s commitment, Sandhu said that ensuring the safety of citizens and upholding the rule of law remains a top priority.
