Delhi Crime Branch Busts Massive Fake Bearings Racket in Farash Khana; 5,067 Duplicate Bearings Seized, Two Arrested

Date:

New Delhi: In a major crackdown on counterfeit industrial products, the Anti Robbery and Snatching Cell (ARSC) of the Delhi Police Crime Branch has busted a large-scale fake bearings manufacturing and distribution racket operating from the Farash Khana area of Delhi. During the operation, police arrested two accused allegedly involved in manufacturing and selling duplicate bearings by illegally branding them as products of reputed companies such as HCH and NBC.

According to Delhi Police officials, the accused were sourcing cheap imported bearings and illegally engraving the trademarks of well-known bearing manufacturers to pass them off as genuine branded products in the market. The fake products were then packed and supplied to unsuspecting customers and traders.

During the raid, police recovered a total of 5,067 fake and duplicate bearings from the illegal workshops. Officers also seized four stamping and engraving machines, one packing machine, and a large quantity of raw printing and packaging material allegedly used for counterfeit branding and distribution.

Investigators said the operation exposed a well-organised network involved in the illegal manufacturing and sale of counterfeit industrial components, which could pose serious risks to machinery safety and industrial operations.

The successful operation was carried out by a team led by Inspector K.K. Sharma under the supervision of ACP Sanjay Nagpal, with overall monitoring by DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav of the Crime Branch.

Delhi Police said further investigation is underway to identify additional suppliers, distributors, and possible market links connected to the fake bearings network.
