Delhi to Relaunch Dwarka Circular Bus Service Soon, Says Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh

Date:

New Delhi: In a major push to strengthen the capital’s public transport system, the Delhi Government has announced that the Dwarka Circular Bus Service will soon be relaunched using DTC electric buses, significantly improving both metro connectivity and last-mile access across the sub-city.

Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh said that the upcoming service will connect key locations such as Dwarka Metro Station, Dwarka Sector 8 Metro Station, and several important commercial and institutional hubs.
“Our priority is to ensure a reliable, accessible and modern public transport network for every citizen of Delhi,” the minister said, adding that the circular service will make daily commuting to colleges, offices, and business centres easier.

Government Revamps Routes for Better Passenger Convenience

The government has already approved the relaunch of the Dwarka circular service, designed to improve route efficiency and reduce waiting time. The Delhi Transport Department has also revised the bus route operating between Prime Ministers’ Museum (PMMML) and Central Secretariat.

Earlier, buses operated through Teen Murti and Kushak Road, but the new route will run from:

PMMML → Teen Murti → South Avenue → Sena Bhawan → Udyog Bhawan → Central Secretariat

Officials said the updated route will ensure seamless travel between PM Museum and the Central Secretariat, while strengthening bus-metro integration in the Dwarka region.

DTC Aims to Become the Preferred Choice for Commuters

The new circular service has been designed keeping passenger comfort, frequency and reliability in mind.
Key objectives include:

  • reducing long gaps between buses,
  • improving last-mile reach in Dwarka,
  • ensuring safer and more dependable travel,
  • making DTC the first choice for urban commuters.

Transport Minister Singh said thousands of passengers stand to benefit once the service resumes. The Delhi Government has completed the preparatory work, and the circular bus network is expected to be rolled out very soon.
