Delhi Deputy Mayor Jai Bhagwan Yadav Conducts Inspection in Dwarka C Ward, Orders Immediate Repair of Roads, Garbage Clearance, and Improved Sanitation in Najafgarh Zone

NEW Delhi: In a proactive step to address public grievances, Deputy Mayor Jai Bhagwan Yadav conducted a comprehensive inspection of Ward No. 130, Dwarka C Ward, under the Najafgarh Zone, to review civic amenities, including road conditions, sanitation, and waste management infrastructure.

Deputy Mayor Yadav was accompanied by area Councillor Ms Sunita, Additional Commissioner Veer Singh Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Santosh Kumar Rai, and senior officials from various departments of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).

Broken Roads, Waterlogging in Bamnoli, Bagdola, and Dwarka Sector 8 Prompt Action

Residents of Bamnoli, Bagdola, and Dhulsiras raised concerns about damaged roads, traffic congestion, and waterlogging issues in their localities. During his field inspection of Bagrola village, Dwarka Sector 8 and 9, Deputy Mayor Yadav took serious note of the deteriorating drainage infrastructure and the urgent need for road repairs.

He directed the engineering and maintenance teams to immediately repair broken roads and drains to prevent further water accumulation and ease commuter movement. He also asked officials to coordinate with relevant Delhi government agencies for road widening and upkeep.

Focus on Waste Disposal and Sanitation in Najafgarh

Inspecting sanitation conditions in Bamnoli and Bagdola, Shri Yadav observed a shortage of sanitation workers and the accumulation of garbage in open spaces. He instructed officials to deploy adequate machinery and manpower to ensure timely waste disposal and maintain cleanliness standards.

The Deputy Mayor emphasized that garbage should not be left unattended and directed officials to escalate unresolved matters to Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for necessary coordination.

Parks to Be Lit and Cleaned Regularly

As part of the inspection, Shri Yadav also reviewed the condition of parks, cleanliness levels, and horticulture maintenance. He instructed the MCD garden and lighting departments to ensure regular cleaning, plant upkeep, and installation of lighting in all parks to eliminate dark spots and improve public safety.

Political Commitment and Assurance to Residents

Speaking to reporters, Deputy Mayor Jai Bhagwan Yadav said, “Under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, we will ensure the resolution of all civic and infrastructure issues on priority. Our goal is to deliver effective governance and immediate relief to the residents of Najafgarh and Dwarka zones.”
