New Delhi: Delhi has added 5,312 electric-vehicle charging points, taking the total to 14,225, minister Ashish Sood said.

Sood also cited a ₹8.9 crore subsidy for e-truck charging stations as part of the push towards electric mobility.

The minister said the government had set a target of making 30% of school buses electric by 2030.

The update follows Delhi’s EV Policy 2026, announced by the Chief Minister’s Office on June 29. That policy set out plans for more than 30,000 charging points and a policy period from July 1, 2026, to March 31, 2030.

The policy also provided purchase incentives of up to ₹30,000 for electric two-wheelers, ₹50,000 for electric three-wheelers and ₹1 lakh for electric N1 goods vehicles. Read our earlier report on Delhi’s EV policy.
