New Delhi: Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a 62-year-old man accused of murdering a neighbour. The accused had evaded arrest for more than 26 years, police said in an announcement on Sunday.
The accused had been declared a proclaimed offender in 2001 in the case registered at Khajoori Khas police station, according to police.

Police alleged that he had bludgeoned his 24-year-old neighbour with a hammer and staged the killing as a road accident.
The arrest operation was led by Inspector Sunil Kalkhande under ACP Satendra Mohan, with DCP Aditya Gautam supervising the team.
