New Delhi: Women and students near Indraprastha College for Women in Civil Lines have a new local point for police assistance with the opening of North District’s 14th Pink Booth. Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu inaugurated the facility in the presence of Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar.
The booth, under Civil Lines police station, follows a request from students for a stronger police presence and improved safety arrangements. North District Police said it was established after feedback received during the Lieutenant Governor’s September visit, while Sandhu said the initiative was intended to make grievance redressal more accessible and prompt for women.

Services outlined for the booth include e-FIR assistance, cybercrime complaints, missing-person reports, and verification of tenants and domestic workers.
The booth is also intended to help women seek police assistance over harassment, stalking and other safety concerns, while supporting direct communication between students and police.
The new booth adds to the 13 Pink Booths already operating in North District. The initiative is being carried out under DCP North Niharika Bhatt’s leadership, with senior police officers joining the Lieutenant Governor and the Police Commissioner at the inauguration.
