New Delhi: The Delhi government said 948.9 litres of ghee had been seized during raids in Bhogal, Najafgarh and Shiv Vihar, with 15 samples sent for laboratory testing. It said further action would follow the test results.
The location-wise figures released by the government were 389.9 litres from Bhogal Market, 338 litres from Najafgarh Market and 221 litres from Shiv Vihar.

The government has not announced laboratory findings in its update. The seizure and pending tests do not establish that the ghee was adulterated.
It said the Food Safety Department would be strengthened with advanced testing technology, additional staff and regular inspections across Delhi. These were announced measures to improve testing and monitoring.
The government said enforcement against food adulteration would continue throughout the year, including cases involving branded companies. A public awareness campaign is also planned.
Complaints about adulteration, poor-quality food products or the sale of expired products can be made to the Food Safety Helpline on 1800-11-3921 during office hours.
