New Delhi: Outer North district police said they had apprehended Fariyaz, 26, who had been declared a proclaimed offender in a 2017 case registered at Narela Police Station.
The case is FIR 819/2017, registered under Sections 392, 411 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The police press note described it as a snatching case.
Police said the AATS team traced Fariyaz through technical surveillance and field verification. The team named in the release comprised ASI Sandeep and Head Constable Abhishek Khatri.
