New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has won the Award of Excellence in the “Excellence in Innovation and Smart Mobility Solutions” category at the 19th Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo in Bhubaneswar.
DMRC Managing Director Dr. Vikas Kumar received the award from Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal at the conference, which concluded on October 24.
Digital ticketing and AI among DMRC initiatives
DMRC said its recent smart mobility initiatives have covered digital ticketing, artificial intelligence for predictive maintenance, and customer response.
The two-day conference and expo brought together urban mobility experts and professionals from around the world to discuss issues concerning the sector’s sustainable growth and development.
Odisha Housing and Urban Development Minister Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs official Satender Singh and Odisha Additional Chief Secretary Usha Padhee were present at the award presentation, according to DMRC.
