New Delhi: Water supply will be disrupted from 9 am to 3 pm on October 24 in Lajpat Nagar, Defence Colony, Kotla Mubarakpur and several nearby localities because of repair and interconnection work at Jal Vihar, the Delhi Jal Board has announced.
Residents have been advised to store sufficient water in advance and use it judiciously. Water tankers can be requested by calling 7428040746 or the DJB toll-free number 1916.
Areas affected by the six-hour water supply disruption
The affected areas are Kotla Mubarakpur, Defence Colony, Lajpat Nagar-I and II, Central Market, Nehru Nagar, Jangpura-A, Jal Vihar Colony, Bhogal, Pant Nagar and Jangpura Extension.
Leak repair and interconnection at Jal Vihar
The six-hour shutdown has been approved for leakage repair and interconnection of a 700-mm-diameter water distribution main at Jal Vihar, according to the DJB notice.
