New Delhi: Heavy rain left roads waterlogged in parts of Delhi on Monday morning, October 12, with water accumulating around Mahipalpur Flyover, Sainik Farm and outside Jhandewalan Mandir. The India Meteorological Department’s early-morning red warning covered all 11 Delhi districts for the period from 6 am to 9 am.
Rain was also reported from Janpath Road, Connaught Place Inner Circle, Kartavya Path, RK Puram Sector 8 and the Kalkaji temple area. At Jhandewalan Mandir, rainwater spilling onto the road made access difficult for devotees entering the temple premises.
Waterlogging around Mahipalpur and Sainik Farm
Morning visuals showed waterlogged stretches around Mahipalpur Flyover and in Sainik Farm. Water had accumulated around the flyover ahead of the office rush, adding a concern for commuters setting out for work.
