Congress alleges effort to silence opposition
The party alleged that barricades and roadblocks were being used to stop leaders who had stepped out to raise concerns about democracy. It described the episode as part of an attempt to suppress citizens’ rights and their voices.
Delhi Congress said its campaign to protect the Constitution and democratic freedoms would continue. Its account characterised the detention as a challenge to opposition political activity.
