New Delhi: A Delhi Traffic Police officer rescued a truck driver trapped beneath an overturned vehicle at Pansali Chowk and rushed him to hospital, police said.
Delhi Traffic Police disclosed details of the August 26 rescue operation through a post on its official X account. According to police, Assistant Sub-Inspector Sanjay of the Rohini Traffic Circle acted after discovering that the driver was trapped under the overturned truck.
“ASI Sanjay acted fast, rescuing a truck driver trapped under an overturned vehicle,” Delhi Traffic Police stated in the post.
The officer removed the driver from beneath the vehicle and took him to a hospital, where he received medical assistance.
Police credited the officer’s prompt intervention with saving the driver’s life and praised his devotion to duty.
The X post did not disclose the driver’s identity, the nature of his injuries or the circumstances in which the truck overturned.
Delhi Traffic Police shared photographs and a 19-second video of the incident with its statement.
