Delhi Extends 100% LPSC Waiver on Old Water Bills Till March 31, 2027; Over 5.27 Lakh Consumers Benefit

New Delhi: The Delhi Government has extended the deadline for a 100% waiver of Late Payment Surcharge (LPSC) on old water bill dues until March 31, 2027, giving consumers additional time to clear their outstanding principal amount and avail the relief.

According to the information released by the government, more than 5.27 lakh Delhi residents have so far availed the scheme, resulting in the waiver of ₹3,261 crore in Late Payment Surcharge.

Consumers with old outstanding water bills can avail the 100% LPSC waiver by clearing their eligible dues within the extended deadline.

The government said March 31, 2027, will be the final deadline and that no further extension will be granted. It urged consumers with pending old water bills to clear their dues and avail the waiver before the deadline.
