New Delhi: Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar visited police personnel injured during the violent protest held in the national capital and enquired about their condition, according to a post shared by Delhi Police on X.
Delhi Police said more than 118 personnel from Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces were injured while on duty during the protest. The injured include officers of the ranks of Special Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Additional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Police, the post said.
According to Delhi Police, the Commissioner met the injured personnel at the hospital and wished them a speedy recovery. The force said the injuries sustained by its personnel reflected their commitment to duty while maintaining law and order during the protest.
