Video of Woman Running Naked on Delhi Street Goes Viral; Jahangirpuri Police Probe Incident

Date:

New Delhi, July 5: Delhi Police has launched an investigation after a video purportedly showing a woman running unclothed on a road in the Jahangirpuri area went viral on social media, triggering widespread attention.

According to preliminary information, the woman was reportedly living in a live-in relationship with a married man and was allegedly staying in the same house along with his wife and children.

Police sources said an argument reportedly broke out late at night between the woman and the man’s wife over an undisclosed issue. Following the altercation, the woman allegedly left the house and reached the Jahangirpuri Police Station.

Officials said police attempted to record her statement and ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident. However, the woman did not lodge any complaint or provide a formal statement.

Police further said that after visiting the police station, the woman collected her belongings and left to stay with her family members.

Authorities are examining the viral video and verifying the sequence of events. Officials said appropriate action, if required, will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

Delhi Police has appealed to the public not to circulate or share the viral video, as doing so could infringe on the woman’s privacy and dignity while the investigation is underway.
