Delhi Police Cracks ₹54.5 Lakh Robbery Case, Arrests Six Accused and Recovers ₹50 Lakh Cash

Date:

New Delhi, June 3: Delhi Police’s Special Staff unit of North District and the team of Lahori Gate Police Station have solved a sensational robbery case involving ₹54.5 lakh and arrested all six accused involved in the crime.

According to police, the robbery was allegedly masterminded by a distant relative of the victim who was aware of the cash transactions being carried out by the complainant. The accused, along with his associates, conspired to execute the robbery and flee with the cash.

The breakthrough came after an extensive investigation involving the analysis of more than 500 CCTV camera footages collected from multiple locations.

Police teams tracked the movement of the accused across three states, covering nearly 3,500 kilometres during the investigation before successfully apprehending all six suspects.

During the operation, police recovered ₹50 lakh in cash from the accused, a major portion of the amount looted during the crime.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Central Range) Madhur Verma said the coordinated efforts of the Special Staff and Lahori Gate Police Station led to the successful detection of the case and the arrest of all those involved.

The investigation revealed that the accused had carefully planned the robbery after obtaining information about the victim’s financial dealings. However, sustained surveillance, technical analysis and field intelligence enabled the police to identify and track the suspects.

Delhi Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain additional details related to the conspiracy and the movement of the stolen money.

The case highlights the role of technology-driven policing, extensive CCTV analysis and interstate coordination in solving major crimes and recovering stolen property.
