Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Flags Off Uber Airport Share Service From Secretariat

New Delhi, May 22: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday flagged off the Uber Airport Share service from the Delhi Secretariat as part of efforts to promote carpooling and fuel conservation in the national capital.

The newly launched service will operate from IGI Airport Terminal-3 and aims to encourage shared mobility and reduce traffic congestion and fuel consumption.

In a post shared on X, CM Rekha Gupta said the initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for public participation amid evolving global fuel conditions.

She stated that the Delhi Government’s campaign titled “Mera Bharat, Mera Yogdan” is being strengthened through such public-oriented mobility initiatives.

The Chief Minister also appreciated Uber for supporting the campaign and promoting sustainable transportation solutions in Delhi.

Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa was also present during the flag-off event.

The Delhi Government said the initiative is expected to encourage more commuters to adopt shared transport systems, helping reduce fuel usage and environmental impact in the city.
