CBI Files Seventh Chargesheet in Noida Homebuyers Fraud Case Against Sequal Buildtech and Directors

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed its seventh chargesheet in an ongoing large-scale homebuyers fraud investigation, this time against M/s Sequal Buildtech Pvt. Ltd. and its Directors in connection with alleged fraudulent activities linked to a housing project in Noida.

According to the CBI press release dated May 11, 2026, the investigation revealed that the builder company and its directors allegedly cheated innocent homebuyers and investors through false assurances, misleading representations and deceptive promises.

The agency alleged that the accused dishonestly obtained financial gains while causing wrongful losses to victims as part of a criminal conspiracy.

The chargesheet has been filed before the competent court under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code related to: Criminal conspiracy, Cheating, Criminal breach of trust and CBI Investigating 50 Cases.

The CBI stated that it is currently probing 50 cases registered under directions of the Supreme Court of India involving multiple builder firms and unknown officials of financial institutions across the country.

The investigations relate to allegations of cheating, diversion of funds and financial fraud affecting homebuyers.

The agency said it had previously filed six chargesheets in similar cases against:

  • Rudra Buildwell Constructions Pvt. Ltd.
  • Dream Procon Pvt. Ltd.
  • Jaypee Infratech Ltd.
  • AVJ Developers (India) Pvt. Ltd.
  • CHD Developers Pvt. Ltd.
  • Shubhkamna Buildtech Pvt. Ltd.

along with directors of these companies and certain officials of banks and financial institutions.

The CBI reiterated its commitment to ensuring accountability in economic offences, corruption and public fraud cases, particularly those adversely affecting common citizens and homebuyers.
