New Delhi: In a vibrant prelude to the 2026 Delhi Budget Session, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta organized a Kheer ceremony today at the Delhi Assembly, accompanied by ministers including Parvesh Verma, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ashish Sood, and Kapil Mishra. The event featured schoolgirls being served Kheer, adding a festive atmosphere to the occasion. CM Gupta actively participated in preparing and serving the Kheer, showcasing her affectionate approach towards the children.
During the ceremony, Gupta emphasized the significance of the upcoming budget, stating, “Our government’s second budget will enhance the pace of development in Delhi, providing infrastructure that benefits nearly 30 million residents and elevates their standard of living. This budget aims to foster a positive image of Delhi, creating an environment where citizens can live happily. It will include better facilities for students, improved health infrastructure, cleaner air, and a greener Delhi. I bring forth the dreams that the people of Delhi have cherished for years, and now is the time to realize them. Last year, we initiated a change in Delhi’s direction, and this budget will ensure that the trajectory continues to improve. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Delhi.”

Gupta further reiterated the government’s commitment to serving the public, stating, “We will work tirelessly, 24/7, to make Delhi better every day. I congratulate the finance department officials for their hard work in preparing this budget and commend my esteemed ministers for aligning their departmental plans with a green budget to propel Delhi forward.”
