Massage Centre Mask Falls Off: Delhi Police Raid ‘Wellness Spas’, Arrest Two Managers

Date:

New Delhi: In a major crackdown on organised immoral trafficking, the South-East District Police dismantled a prostitution racket operating under the guise of spa and wellness services in Lajpat Nagar-I. The operation resulted in the arrest of two spa managers and the rescue of nine women from the premises.

On February 12, specific and credible intelligence was received from Mr. Virendra Kumar Singh, Director of Mission Mukti Foundations, regarding alleged prostitution activities being conducted at premises A-117, Lajpat Nagar-I. Two establishments — “Vegas Spa” on the ground floor and “Vedika Wellness Spa” on the first floor — were suspected of facilitating immoral trafficking under the cover of massage services.

After discreet verification of the inputs, a coordinated raid was planned.

At approximately 7:20 PM, a specially constituted police team conducted a two-phase raid covering both floors of the premises.

  • Ground Floor (Vegas Spa): Five women and the spa manager were found on site. During inspection, 18 unused condoms were recovered from the reception area drawer, indicating the nature of illegal activities.
  • First Floor (Vedika Wellness Spa): Four women along with another manager were present. Preliminary questioning and situational evidence suggested that so-called “wellness services” were being used as a front for prostitution.

Based on the recovery of incriminating material and evidence collected during the raid, two managers were arrested:

  1. Arnish D. Senapati @ Rahul, Manager – Vegas Spa
  2. Vipin Vashishtha @ Ravi, Manager – Vedika Wellness Spa

FIR No. 86/2026 dated 12.02.2026 has been registered at Police Station Lajpat Nagar under Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, relating to running a brothel, living off the earnings of prostitution, and procuring persons for prostitution.

Interrogation & Modus Operandi

During interrogation, the accused admitted to managing day-to-day operations and arranging clients for women in exchange for financial commissions. They revealed that the spa establishments were deliberately used as a façade to evade suspicion while conducting illegal prostitution activities.

Payments were collected from customers, a commission was retained by the managers, and the remaining amount was distributed among the women. Customers were allegedly lured through misleading advertisements and referral networks. 18 unused condoms recovered from the premises

Hemant Tiwari, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South-East District, stated:

“Delhi Police remains committed to strict enforcement of laws against immoral trafficking and organized crime. Such illegal activities operating under the cover of legitimate businesses will be dealt with firmly. We will continue sustained action to dismantle such networks and protect vulnerable individuals.”

Further investigation is underway to identify additional links, financial trails, and potential masterminds behind the racket.
