New Delhi | February 3, 2026: The Deputy Commissioner of the Central Zone, Shashwat Saurabh, on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive field inspection across Okhla Phase‑I, Indira Vihar Colony, and adjoining localities to assess civic conditions and review ongoing maintenance works.
The inspection was undertaken as part of the Corporation’s continued efforts to strengthen sanitation, cleanliness, and public convenience across the Central Zone. During the visit, key issues such as roadside encroachments, open dumping sites, and dhalao (garbage collection) points were examined in detail.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by concerned officers and stakeholders, who were directed to assess ground realities, identify service gaps, and recommend immediate interventions. Following the observations, corrective actions were initiated at all identified locations.
Emphasising strict adherence to civic norms, the Deputy Commissioner instructed field staff to ensure timely rectification and sustained monitoring to prevent recurrence of violations. The administration reiterated its commitment to improved urban management and enhanced citizen welfare through regular inspections and accountability-driven enforcement.
