Delhi Heatwave Alert: IMD Warns of Scorching Sun, No Rain Till September 26

Date:

New Delhi: Delhi-NCR residents must brace for intense heatwave conditions, rising temperature, and no rainfall as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast clear skies and scorching sun over the next six days.

According to the IMD, no rain has been recorded in the past 24 hours, and the weather pattern suggests no showers until September 26. Instead, Delhi will continue to experience June-like heat in mid-September, with temperatures steadily climbing.

The department further stated that winds will blow at 15–19 kmph, but they won’t provide much relief from the sweltering conditions. High humidity levels will add to the discomfort of residents already battling rising heat.

For the next six days, Delhiites can expect relentless sunshine, extreme heat, and no monsoon respite, making it one of the harshest late-September spells in recent years.
