New Delhi: On the eve of Independence Day, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Shahdara North Zone launched an intensive cleanliness drive under its ‘Delhi Ko Kude Se Azadi’ campaign. The initiative targeted the Gokulpur Drain, where large volumes of floating waste were removed, and also included a special cleaning operation at Signature Bridge.
Senior officials of the Shahdara North Zone, local residents, and sanitation workers participated actively, showcasing a strong example of public involvement in maintaining city hygiene.

Following the drive, a grand ‘Tiranga Yatra’ was organised under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Colonel Abhishek Kumar. The procession, led by schoolchildren, carried messages of patriotism and cleanliness, spreading the dual spirit of national pride and civic responsibility across the area.
