Teen Couple Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Delhi’s Najafgarh, Probe Underway

Date:

New Delhi: A 16-year-old boy and a teenage girl were found dead under mysterious circumstances at the girl’s residence in Delhi’s Najafgarh locality, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening in the Nagli area of Dwarka’s Najafgarh, police said. Preliminary findings indicate that the two were in a relationship, which had earlier sparked tension and legal disputes between their families. The matter was later resolved through a mutual agreement, sources added.

According to senior police officials, the bodies were found inside a locked room in the girl’s home. No external injuries were noted during the initial inspection, and investigators are currently treating the case as a suspected suicide.

“The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The cause of death will be confirmed only after receiving the medical report,” an officer said. After examination, both bodies were handed over to the respective families.

However, the boy’s family has raised serious allegations, claiming that the girl’s relatives orchestrated a murder plot. They alleged that the boy was deliberately lured to the girl’s home under false pretenses and killed. The family further alleged that the girl’s uncle had previously threatened the boy during the settlement discussions.

Police said the matter is being investigated from all angles, including the possibility of foul play, and no theory is being ruled out at this stage.
