New Delhi: An Orange Alert has been issued for the national capital on Monday, accompanied by forecasts of rain and thunderstorms.
Early this morning, several areas in Delhi experienced light showers, resulting in a drop in the minimum temperature to 25.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1.4 degrees below the seasonal average, as reported by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The IMD anticipates that the maximum temperature may rise to approximately 35 degrees Celsius, which remains relatively low for this time of year.
The Orange Alert, part of the IMD’s weather warning system, serves as a notification for residents to remain vigilant and prepared for potentially disruptive weather conditions.
As of 8:30 AM, humidity levels were notably high at 80 percent, contributing to the already damp atmosphere.
