Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood Announces 2% Increase in Dearness Relief for Retired Vidyut Board Employees

New Delhi: On Thursday, Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood announced a significant two percent increase in Dearness Relief (DR) for 18,737 retired employees of the Delhi Vidyut Board.

This adjustment raises the DR rate from 53 percent to 55 percent, effective January 1 of this year, according to an official statement.

Minister Sood emphasized that this decision will provide essential financial support to pensioners, helping them manage their household expenses more effectively.

He further noted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi government remains steadfast in its commitment to the welfare of both current and retired employees.
